After Francis but before Leo…

Podcast: The Amusing and the Curious
(Pre-Conclave Catch-Up)
TRADCAST EXPRESS 211

Our latest podcast episode, TRADCAST EXPRESS 211, has been published.

It is a special ‘catch-up’ episode discussing, although not exclusively, some items of interest that took place during the Novus Ordo sede vacante period, the few weeks after the death of Jorge Bergoglio (Francis) and before the election of Robert Prevost (Leo XIV).

In particular, we consider the not-so-bright question Taylor Marshall tweeted on May 5, “What should the Cardinals do if a non-Catholic is elected Pope?”. Then we take a look at a curious statement made by ‘Fr.’ Richard Cipolla on Rorate Caeli, to wit: “We cannot guarantee that whoever is chosen to be the next Pope is the anointed one of the Holy Spirit.” Afterwards, yours truly goes on a tangent about how Rorate Caeli quietly betrayed abandoned its own policy of never publishing leaked information when they deemed it necessary (whereas in the past they had vehemently condemned others for doing the same thing).

Following that, we marvel at how clueless ‘Cardinal’ Gerhard Ludwig Müller, Novus Ordo expert on dogmatic theology and formerly the Vatican’s chief ‘guardian of orthodoxy’, is as we review his comments to interviewer Gerard O’Connell concerning the nature of formal and material heresy. The 19-minute podcast ends with an amusing (and not terribly serious) self-contradiction by Taylor Marshall.
