Shocker, eh?

New Vatican News Internet Platform designed and run by Contractor known for its LGBT Activism

On Dec. 17, 2017, the Vatican officially launched its new internet communications platform, VaticanNews.va, which consolidates and replaces its previous diverse media channels. The launching of the new web site is reportedly the last part of the Unholy See’s ongoing effort to streamline and modernize its communications and media apparatus.

So far, so good. But now it has come to light that the company the Vatican hired to do all this work — both the original design and setup and the ongoing development — is one of the most openly supportive of sexual perversion out there. Accenture is the name of the company that was put under contract by the Vatican for this purpose:

A report published by Life Site reveals the sickening details of this latest move by the Novus Ordo Sect to give aid, comfort, and lots of money to people who aggressively promote the social acceptance sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance. Here is an excerpt:

Eyebrows are being raised following the announcement that a Vatican official with strong ties to LGBT activists has hired an openly homosexualist digital marketing company to design and manage the Holy See’s new internet news service.

The company, Accenture, is famous worldwide for promoting the homosexual political agenda, winning awards for being the top “gay friendly” employer, and producing videos proposing strategies for promoting “LGBT rights” throughout the world.

Accenture maintains an entire webpage of LGBT “pride” materials and a library of twelve LGBT videos on its website promoting homosexual “inclusion” in its company and in society in general. The company’s enthusiasm for pushing homosexuality was great enough to earn it the award for the most “gay friendly” company in all of Britain in 2013, and for being Ireland’s “best LGBT workplace” in 2016.

The company even signed a brief supporting the homosexual plaintiffs in the Obergefell vs. Hodges decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, which forced all fifty states to recognize gay “marriage.” It also contributes money to the “Human Rights Campaign,” an American gay lobbying organization which has in turn given the company a 100 percent pro-homosexual rating.

According to [Accenture Interactive Italy’s head, Alessandro] Diana, Accenture was not involved in any process of soliciting the contract. Rather Vatican officials approached Accenture of their own accord….

(Matthew Cullinan Hoffman, “Vatican hires LGBT activist company to create and run new internet news platform”, Life Site, Dec. 20, 2017)

The curial official in charge of the Vatican’s Secretariat for Communications is “Mgr.” Dario Edoardo Viganò, who was appointed to the post by Francis in 2015.

This is not the first time that Viganò has shown his LGBT-friendly colors. According to Vaticanist Marco Tosatti, cited in the same Life Site report, Viganò “has also developed a close working relationship with a homosexual radio journalist, Pierluigi Diaco, who publicly celebrated his ‘civil union’ to another man….” In addition, the infamous American “bridge builder” to sodomite hell, “Fr.” James Martin, works as a consultant for Viganò’s communications department, and although it was Francis who appointed him to the post earlier this year, Life Site associates this appointment likewise with Viganò, perhaps because of the latter’s possible influence in the selection of candidates.

To see how open and bold Accenture is in its promotion of sexual perversion as “alternative lifestyles” that are to be accepted as good and normal when in fact they are wicked and depraved, we provide the following links to official Accenture material advertising its pro-LGBT stance:

Although we can expect that there will once again not be lacking a good number of Francis-Vatican defenders who will try to spin this all into a “there’s nothing to see here, move along” story, the fact is quite simply that this is a monstrous scandal that cannot be excused. It also ties perfectly into the outrageous “Nativity scene” currently on display in St. Peter’s Square, which clearly has homosexual overtones.

Thus we see yet another instance of the real Francis Effect: Enabled, facilitated, and protected by Mr. “Who am I to judge?”, the Vatican’s “gay lobby” is fully in charge.

I agree with the ‘Birds of a feather flock together’ comment. I was one of these Novus Ordo Birds of a Feather until October 2016. Eventually we all have to decide where we stand concerning truth. Sodomy is a violation of natural law, it is my understanding that St. Catherine of Sienna made the statement that even the demons from hell are disgusted by it. Those who suffer from same sex attraction are being deprived of the truth by this false Novus Ordo Religion and its political correctness. I read a sermon by St. Alphonsus this past Sunday entitled ‘In what true wisdom consists’. In it he made the statement ‘God cannot but hate sin, which is his enemy and diametrically opposed to his will; and therefore, in hating sin, he necessarily hates the sinner who is united with his sin. ‘But to God the wicked and his wickedness are hateful alike’ from sacred scripture Wisdom 14:9. This ‘unholy’ Vatican See has a lot to answer for leading so many souls astray. I pass much of this information on to my Novus Ordo following family members and like you say BurningEagle, they don’t even raise an eyebrow. I am absolutely astounded and keep asking myself what will it take to wake them up? The ‘recognize and resist’ attitude is in direct contradiction to Mathew 10:34-39. Jesus Christ and his truth comes first, in the end no excuses will suffice. NOW doesn’t have all the answers but they are 100% correct in their assessment that the Novus Ordo hierarchy are not Catholic in their teachings and practices. This Novus Ordo religion is the synthesis of all religions due to adherence to its modernist principle of ecumenism.
It is beyond my understanding how anyone can tolerate it. I recently watched a couple of old WCBOHIO videos on the glories of the papacy and in reflecting on the comments of the two Catholic priests I realized that this isn’t the first time that Catholics have had to deal with a corrupt hierarchy. There have been many anti-Popes in the past. The solution is always the same, hold fast to tradition. Ignorance was my biggest problem to overcome because as a thoroughly indoctrinated ‘Novus Ordite’ I honestly didn’t know what true Catholic tradition was. When Bergoglio attacked Catholic marriage by saying ‘Most Catholic marriages are invalid and some cohabitation is real marriage’ that was my wake up call, my eyebrows went up real fast. I was involved with the FSSP semi-trads at that stage, the ones who think there can be two religions under the same Vatican II hierarchy. Contradiction after contradiction. How does one eliminate the contradictions? Hold fast to tradition. The problem is that our culture is based upon moral relativism and the Novus Ordo Religion is the same so it suits the mindset of their followers, that’s why they don’t raise an eyebrow. The principle ‘love the sinner, hate the sin’ has been morphed into ‘love the sinner, ignore the sin’. God doesn’t ignore sin, he paid a great price on the cross to redeem us and we will all be held accountable for our refusal to turn away from sin and amend our lives. Jesus Christ said it plainly, ‘If you love me you will keep my word’.

Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us, Our Lady destroyer of heresies, pray for us.

      • BurningEagle

Agreed. “Love the sinner and ignore the sin” negates St. Paul’s axiom of “hating that which is evil, and cleaving to the good.” It makes us more unlike God, and ultimately does nothing to bring the sinner out of his sin.
It is as if Our Lord did not tell the woman caught in adultery, “Go, and sin no more.” The new Gospel of modern man would have us think that Christ said, “Go, because there is no such thing as sin.”

      • aabroad

In the light of Wisdom 14:9, does anyone know of a traditional Catholic treatise upon the subject of “loving the sinner, hating the sin”? Is it a biblical precept, and how is it to be demonstrated in practice, without falling into the error of appearing to accept or tolerate the sin, and giving scandal? I often feel very uncomfortable and virtually complicit in the sin when obliged to welcome and be hospitable to notorious sinners, since I am obviously externally giving the impression of being tolerant and indifferent (while internally seething and revolted). For how long can we avoid our obligation to admonish the sinner before we become sinners ourselves by association?

        • Daniel

God judges souls not us, that is my first precautionary point. The name ‘Daniel’ means ‘God is my judge’, so it is a personal constant reminder to me.

The question was asked, ‘For how long can we avoid our obligation to admonish the sinner before we become sinners ourselves by association?’
To the first part, ‘for how long’, the answer is until our dying breath, which is what Jesus did on the cross. The last part of the question implies that we become sinners by associating with sinners. Jesus Christ did not become a sinner by associating with sinners, he needed to associate with us sinners in order to admonish and save us. However he did say this as well in Mathew 10:14 ‘And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet’. If we are in personal spiritual danger of falling into grave sin by associating with sinners then we should obviously remove ourselves from that dangerous situation. In my personal situation regarding family members I am not in danger of ‘reverting’ back to the false Novus Ordo Religion. The difficulty is dealing with the trials and tribulations and being patient with their blindness and stubbornness. To help with this I keep reminding myself that it took me 60 years to wake up so why should they be any faster? Novus Ordo Watch is quite helpful by continuing to point out the contradictions between the Novus Ordo Religion and the Catholic Religion. Unfortunately my relatives refuse to read these posts which tells me they either don’t possess a love of truth or think that the NOW posts are complete nonsense. Hopefully something will eventually make them ‘raise an eyebrow’ and that will open a floodgate of the truth into their lives because of the ‘domino effect’, at least that is what happened to me. I hope God hasn’t abandoned them completely due an abuse of his mercy. St. Alphonsus gave an excellent sermon in this regard explaining that the greatest punishment for sin is to be abandoned in that sinful state. That is why I pray continuously for the conversion of my loved ones. Ultimately it is God’s grace that wakes us up.

We must hold fast to tradition no matter what the cost. Mathew 10:37-39 is very helpful in this regard. Jesus rejects the lukewarm Apocalypse 3:16. Jesus wanted to cast a fire of agape on earth, Luke 12:49. We Catholics are supposed to be that living fire, the flame of Christ’s love. His church will not be completely extinguished, Jesus Christ made the promise that the gates of hell would not prevail, he would be with us to the end of time. Luke 12:53 is an echo of Mathew 10:35.

Modernism is all about how to be lukewarm, it is a final attempt to quench that fire of truth, an attempt to obliterate the Church of Christ which is the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Modernism is anti-cross and subsequently anti-Christ.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us, Our Lady Destroyer of Heresy, pray for us.

          • aabroad

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, Daniel.
In mentioning “association”, I was not meaning that I would become a sinner by merely associating, but thinking of the nine ways of becoming an accessory to another’s sin – I. By counsel; II. By command; III. By consent; IV. By provocation; V. By praise or flattery; VI. By concealment; VII. By partaking; VIII. By silence; IX. By defense of the ill done – particularly VIII (silence), which relates to III, since others may perceive that I am giving my consent, as a consequence of my silence.
The difficulty is that if one speaks up about everything that might need condemnation these days, one risks being in a perpetual rant! There is so much going on among the community, “friends” and family that, up to 500 years ago, everyone would realise was wrong and even if not directly condemned, the perpetrators would be well-aware that they were crossing the bounds of the natural law or decency and would have feelings of guilt and shame. Now there is so little awareness of the reality of sin – even among what are called mainstream Christians, most of whom seem to believe that grace and mercy cover everything and they can just act the same as the reprobate world around them – that one feels like the first disciples moving into pagan countries…

Show me your friends, and I’ll show you who you are.
Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.
When the character of a man is not clear, look at his friends.
Proverbs 13:20: He that walketh with the wise, shall be wise: a friend of fools shall become like to them.

One more thing: Amoris Laetitia can also be cited for the acceptance of all the LGBT crowd. If I am not mistaken, references to them as well as the divorced and remarried have been made with regard to what they call holy communion, and acceptance in the Novus Ordo church.
Jorge has welcomed and embraced gay men AS A COUPLE. Jorge has had gay epistle readers. They have had gay choreographers working with the bishops in Brazil for some world day of something or other. (What is it with all these “world days” for this and that anyway?) Jorge has even walked into a church from the street while holding hands with a gay cleric. Is there nothing which gives this guy the heebie jeebies?
Are any eyebrows raised out there in Novus Ordo land? …I didn’t think so.

I would say lumen gentium, the ccc and the 1983 ccl also. If “the good of the spouses” is all marriage is, if its all about “the deed” without children, then why not a bit of sodomy?

  3. Geremia16

So all those who use Apple computers are also anti-Proposition 8 and pro-sodomy etc.? I don’t think you need to use guilt-by-association arguments. Isn’t there plenty of other, better evidence that the Vatican promotes sodomy?

    • Is it I, Lord?

I think Burning Eagle answered your question, even before you asked it:

Show me your friends, and I’ll show you who you are.
Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.
When the character of a man is not clear, look at his friends.

If given a choice, I will not go to Burger Queen due to their stance. If given a choice, I will not buy Guinness Stout because of their public stance on queers at the St. Patrick’s day parade. Once I found out about Jim Koch’s sponsorship of debauchery, I have refused to buy Sam Adams beer.
      http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/beer-boss-apologizes-radio-sex-stunt
I will not shop at Target due to their stance on transgenderism. There are other shops and other breweries with whom I can spend my money.
I’ll even get to the mundane: If I have a choice between an American-made product versus a foreign-made product, if all else is equal, I’ll buy the American product, and will also look for something from my state of residence.
Not all of us are mind-dead pantywaists. Some of us will do whatever we can. There are still a few Americans left who have a spine.
From the article, you can read that the perverted company did not even pursue this business. The Vatican pursued them! I find it hard to believe that there isn’t another company out there who could have done the work needed by the Vatican. I also think it is the beyond naivete to think that the Vatican’s choice of this perverted company is happenstance.

        BurningEagle;
Then we all should just live in a cave. The media is controlled by the Jews.Do not watch any Hollywood movies; all Jews; The internet is runned by Jews; The CEO of Youtube is a Russian Jew.Twitter started by a Kansas City catholic sold out to Zionist Saudis who are jews.Catholics should just pack up and go home. Most CEO’s are Jews.We are screwed. There is an old saying if the Jews have power the catholic church becomes weak. How can this be in the west when there are only 2% jewish population. This is insane.

        • BurningEagle

No, you do not have to live in a cave (yet). Yes, you can buy products from folks who are inimical to the Catholic Faith. That is called material cooperation. But when you have a choice, it is a good thing to speak your mind with your dollars. It would be better to spend your money with entities which are not flaming Catholic haters. How else will we as a whole make a difference? That is the nature of my comments. That is why I do not buy Sam Adams, or Burger Queen, or go to Target, etc. There are places less inimical, or neutral, where I can get what I need.
With regard to media: I would be very careful. Even pagan hedonistic worldlings have recognized that the TV is a machine for programing the masses. It is propaganda on steroids. Nearly all programs and commercials have something in them that is at least a little bit poisonous.
The same goes for Hollywood for the most part. Even the 1966 “Man for All Seasons” has parts that are objectionable (e.g. there are a few GDs used in the movie). The Ben Hur movie has horrible modernist distortions in it (and it was never a Catholic story to begin with, having been written by a Protestant).
But, if you cannot avoid sin or blasphemy or a denial of the Catholic Faith except by living in a cave, then you better go out and find a good cave.
There will come a time when the forces of the AntiChrist will make it so that you will NOT be able to buy or sell, unless you have the “character of the beast,” whatever that will be. In order to get that mark, one will have to deny the faith, or blaspheme, or in some way commit a mortal sin against God and His Church. In that case, it would be better to starve to death than to get the mark.
Vatican II is only the beginning, the time of the great apostasy. Next comes the man of sin, the son of perdition, and no man will be able to buy or sell without being identified with (una cum) the antichrist. At that time we will all be in hiding.

          • john b

I disagree on Vatican II but you are right concerning a cave.I am now seriously looking into Costa Rica. Some Christians have escaped to the Philippines already.America/UK is mystery babylon. In Revelation John speaks of the gentiles trampling the holy city Rome for 42 months not 50 years Vatican II.The reason why because as the freemasons have infiltrated the seminaries with their false doctrines on sodomy down the lodge we go it takes a few decades. The fruit of these false doctrines are now taking place within the church. The catholic church is being inspired now by the American liberal protestant Christianity of sodomy.
            Have you read Isaiah 4;1
1 AND in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying: We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, take away our reproach.
What this verse means in prophecy is that in American protestantism woman reign as bishops in their church.Eating their own bread refers to these women joining the catholic church but not accepting the eucharist meaning the real presence.Wearing their own apparel means keeping their own false doctrines like sodomy.Yet they want the catholic church to take away their reproach.
You mention mark of the beast.Notice this year a big thing will be face recognition to buy and sell through your Apple phone. There’s that tempting apple again with a bite of apple taken of Eve.Throw your phone away.
Throw the apple away. There is a reason God made the apple tree look cursed and deform.Although God can make apple pie out of bruised apples.
We can be zealous for the Lord but faith without love is absolutlely useless. We can’t condemn life all the time.Life is not perfect. We then become purtians which is a heresy. Can you imagine always looking for the bad in others including your spouse you would not last a week. That’s why criticism of everything the Vatican does is too extreme.
Just yesterday in mass our deacon meantioned last summer he reluctantly went to his neice’s same sex reception but not the wedding part.He has struggled mightly.I am sick to my stomach with the young people being deceived with this spirit of sodomy. When it comes to God’s love we are suppose to live a life of purity. What was really disturbing is that on New Year’s Eve the catholic mass is suppose to reflect the Holy Family not liberal diversity for family.
Catholics are to change culture not the culture changing us.
            God help us!

          • BurningEagle

We are not going to agree on the Vatican II Church. Religious Liberty, Ecumenism, Collegiality, etc. are all condemned by the Catholic Church, but now upheld by the Vatican II church.

That “deacon’s” presence at the reception is a mortal sin of scandal in my estimation. But, we will likely not agree on that either.

          • john b

            Burning Eagle;
You are becoming an American puritan.A pharisaic rabbi which the letter of the law kills the spirit.

          • BurningEagle

Read Mortalium Animos. Read Quanta Cura and the syllabus of errors. Read Pius X’s Oath Against Modernism. Then tell me I am an American puritan.
I suppose a strict constitutionalist is also a whack job because he does not believe in a “living” document, which evolves.

        • Siobhan

Many do not have control of their environment. Falling into homelessness as an indirect consequence of the 9/11 disaster & then being housed including currently by an agency run by those perfidious, I’m continually surrounded indeed bombarded not only by TV, but w/all you mention & much more- including living within an entirely mohammedan community. The following provided great help to me & I hope it will also for those impoverished who read this site & indeed do not have hope of being in control of their environment:
(most particularly Paragraph 7 herein– )
          http://www.liberalismisasin.com/chapter17.htm
When I was raising the children , now all adults, I did realize (bc I’d seen it happen-) that when children are never exposed to the evils within the products you mention-they are shocked when they finally are & most often leave the Faith. So IMHO it is good to expose them & instruct them & equip them while they are still in one’s household how to cope, remain steadfast— give good example , etc.

          • EIA

Is control of the environment truly the root problem? Or is it the lack of unity in faith among Christians? For if we were united in faith, and in practicing it, we would do as the apostles did in Acts 4, and no Christian should lack anything essential in this world.

For example, one solution to your problem could perhaps be that Catholics (sedevacantists) purchase land together. There, sedes who need could build basic shelters, bury their dead, etc. (After all where do sedes get buried these days?) But, would the Mendez, Thuc and Home Alone sedes want to buried near each other? The housing problem you have brought up points to our sin. And if we persist, isn’t it a sin against the Holy Spirit, as He manifested Himself among the apostles in the intial Church?

For if we were in perfect conformity with Him, and therefore united in faith, we would be united to each other, and there would not be a Christian in need, without all the others feeling the need, and, consequently, pulling together.

As it is, I don’t doubt at all that other sedes reading your post, regarless their faction, felt your need, and also perhaps felt frustrated by their indivifual inability to provide you shelter. But united with sufficient other Catholics (sedes), why shouldn ‘t the problem that afflicts poor sedes be solved? Must we wait to agree on all things to cooperate on providing for needs of Christians? Can Catholics (sedes) work on agreeing, in Truth, on whatever separates us while providing for needs?

Are their errors in my thougts? Any truth? Any thoughts, anyone?

“And with great power did the apostles give testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord; and great grace was in them all. For neither was there any one needy among them. For as many as were owners of lands or houses, sold them, and brought the price of the things they sold, And laid it down before the feet of the apostles. And distribution was made to every one, according as he had need.” – Acts 4:33-35

          • Siobhan

I was attempting to provide comfort via the link I posted to others who might find themselves in similar circumstances. Since we often hear how good & right it is to not watch TV, not expose ourselves to media, etc. I merely wanted to provide hope to those for whom the ability to control these things is limited or impossible. Falling into this category are not not only the impoverished, but also the imprisoned & more. I tried to show that being exposed to these influences in no way hinders one’s ability to practice the Faith with the help of Actual Grace, the Sacraments & prayer.

It’s important to point out that the sedevacantist clergy will go at great hardship to provide for anyone’s spiritual needs who asks. So if anyone in America reading this has a need please do contact any of the sedevacantist clergy listed within the post:
            https://novusordowatch.org/now-what/

In 2015 a sedevacantist bishop came to attend to my spiritual needs. His Excellency climbed through mountains of rat-infested trash & more outdoors to reach me. When he entered my tiny apartment my heart sung when I saw His Excellency’s tender expression & heard his warm invitation to have my confession heard. He was like Our Blessed Lady making the treacherous & arduous journey to Elizabeth. This was exactly the vision that came to my heart bc I observed His Excellency struggling in obscurity to reach me.

My experience is not unique, in that sedevacantist clergy attend to the temporally & spiritually impoverished all the time & at significant hardship on their part.

The question you remark upon regarding Christian burial can be asked to such clergy as well.

          • Sonia

EIA. I reckon you have missed the boat on Siobhan’s comment. I read it as about maintaining the Faith, indeed increasing in Faith, in the face of no worldly control, following the loss of worldly comforts and status. The Great Apostasy is beyond ‘run to the hills time’. IMHO

    • Novus Ordo Watch

The Vatican hired Accenture as its contractor. That’s a bit different from simply using a certain type of product that is only available (in terms of its efficiency and smooth functionality) from a single vendor. The association between employer and contractor is a bit stronger than between employer and office product manufacturer. It’s not like Accenture is the only company they could have hired. With all the homo connections the Vatican already has, this is simply more of the same. If there were no other way to get their goal accomplished but to hire this particular company, the Vatican would have the obligation to release the biggest disclaimer the world has ever seen, taking great care to redress any potential scandal by making clear that they in no wise mean to associate with this particular company but have no choice because of reasons X, Y, and Z.

Yes, once *can* be guilty by association!

You would think that anyone with an iota of Christian sensibility would know that something drastically evil is going on in the West. And folks generally accept that, ‘yes’, some thing is going on. But for the Novus Ordites, its just business as usual, as if 1900 years of diametrically opposed Catholic Faith never existed. For the Protestants, who have always hated Catholicism with an irrational vengeance and unyielding fear that must make satan consider them truly loyal allies, the open apostasy of Novus Ordo Rome represents all of what they call Papacy and papists going back to the Council of Chalcedon. Ignorance is the new “(antichrist)Christianity”, and has been since the 1500s.

  5. Rube

I am getting weary of even using their “LGBT” label. I suggest we use CDSD – Clinically Depraved Sexual Deviates. This way no matter how many letters they choose to add, it all amounts to this.

    • Sonia

Or AGATS – a generation abandoned to satan. The thing is, there are so few people on this poor earth who think they are or ‘are’ homosexual that the whole narrative is a deeply oppressive piece of propaganda. The gender confusion ‘trans’ business is the agenda of hubristic scientists happy for media to serve them up the extremely confused ‘useful idiot’ to continue to experiment upon.

Anyway. Bergoglio, like his fathers in antichrist faith (Freemasonic VII Novus Ordo inducted 28/10/58), will continue to praise that which the Holy Trinity tells us is abomination.

PS. We are, one and all, a Satanically Inclined Nitwit Needing Earnest Repentance.

    – Hey! we spoke with Francis and he said it was fine!

  7. BurningEagle

It is a story that is told over and over again. I have 4 members of my immediate family who will not listen and do not care to listen. I have in-laws who are even worse. I have even had a traditional friend who went back to the Novus Ordo, just to please his wife! Finally, I have acquaintances who are affiliated with S?PX, who believe canonizations are not infallible, and believe in 2 Churches under one head: the Catholic Church and the Novus Ordo Church, under Jorge, who is the head of both! I think what you and Daniel have mentioned with regard to alienation is universal.
For at least 30 years, I have actually embraced the “alienation” as a good thing. However, it is difficult to watch loved ones die in the clutches of the “Cult of Man.”

    • aabroad

Ditto from me. A friend’s wife wishes he would give up this “Pharasaical” extreme and silly position and come back to the Novus Ordo. He has the integrity not to do so, but in order to keep a semblance of domestic harmony, he has to avoid promoting his position to others (at least in her presence). Recently a mutual aquaintance used the expression “Is the Pope Catholic?” and he could not help himself answering “Well, no, actually”. The response was a quizzical look, and the comment, “What do you mean? Francis is the best Pope we have ever had!”
A particular challenge is being expected to get along with and celebrate with anyone remotely “Christian”, even Mormons, and, beyond that, venerate our “elder brothers in the faith” (the Judaics) as if their arcane rituals have some validity and efficacy, without ever mentioning their monstrous heresies and calling them to the true faith.
Our consolation is to continually pray the Fatima prayer throughout the day, fervently hoping that God will indeed intercede to lead all souls to heaven…

I would suggest ridding yourself of the “idiot box,” or “anti-Catholic programming device.” We have no TV that works, other than as a monitor for a DVD player. Our internet service is only for internet, and we have no TV service. It keeps the blood pressure low (106/57 in my case). We have been that way ever since getting married.27 years ago. Our children, therefore, grew up as voracious readers. We supplied them with Catholic books, and NOT newspapers or magazines.

You know, this does bring up a point I’ve periodically mentioned from time to time (not here, but elsewhere): The lack of Catholic fiction in media. Most Catholic media tends to be nonfiction – documentaries, biographies, docutainments, papers, and so on.

…unless I’m just looking in the wrong places.

The novels by Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson are very entertaining (for adult and teens). We have five of them. Fr. Francis Finn’s books, Tom Playfair, Percy Wynn, Harry Dee, Claude Lightfoot, Facing Danger etc. were well received. G.K. Chesterton’s The Complete Father Brown was a collection of 5 Father Brown stories, and was well liked. The Shipwreck by Rev. Joseph Spillmann S.J was liked. The books by Owen Francis Dudley were well liked.
In addition to the above fiction, the kids read numerous biographies of Saints, and historical figures. Some were short, some were lengthy. The Cure of Ars by Trochu was a hit, as was Phillip II and Isabella of Spain both by William Thomas Walsh.
When the kids were younger, we used to read to them every day from Miniature Lives of the Saints for Every Day of the Year, usually after the rosary in the evenings. It is a wonderful 2 volume set with the life of the saint on one side of the page, and then a small dissertation on a particular lesson from that saint’s life on the back side, along with a quote from the saint, and a particular example of the particular lesson which occurred in the life of the Saint. It is a wonderful set of books for a Catholic at any age. It was edited by Henry Sebastian Bowden of the Oratory. If you ever come across a copy, you should buy it.
I also remember we got the audio cassettes of Saint Among the Hurons, which was the biography of St. Jean de Brebeuf. That was very entertaining.
You are not going to find much in the regular “media” because the media are run by, or at least controlled by, avowed haters of Christ and Catholicism. Whenever you do come across something relatively wholesome, it is usually tainted, to some degree, with some sort of distortion or perversion.

      BurningEagle;
I definitely admire that and your catholic faith. It takes great discipline to extract from the digusting modernity in society.Secularism gone wild as they say.

It is not hard. From what I understand, quitting cigarettes is very hard, because of the addiction. TV, movies, newspapers, magazines are not addicting. Therefore, it is really not hard to do, once you have made the determination that the life of grace is more important than wasting time with the propaganda from the camp of the enemy.
I think quitting modern music was hard at first. But then, once I started learning the traditional Catholic Faith from solid Catholic sources (books) from before the wretched council, and started learning about wholesome music like the Renaissance polyphony of Palestrina and Victoria, Andreas and Giovanni Gabrieli, the Baroque and Classical composers (Vivaldi, Bach, Corelli, Albinoni, Haydn, Mozart etc) even that became easy. I also had a good Catholic priest who gave me good instructions. I have been blessed by Almighty God, and did not deserve it. Deo gratias.

Yes I believe that is good advice, but It does such a good job putting me to sleep. They say the brainwaves of those watching T.V. show less activity then those who are sleeping, I believe this must be true.

On a off subject note. My town has a food pantry run by a heretical church but the pantry is secular. Should a Catholic contribute to the pantry since its the only charity that is benefiting those locals in need.

Yes. It’s a Corporal Work of Mercy. This is not material cooperation, for example, as some people may say. Think of yourself as the impoverished person. Would you partake of the food? Of course, if you were starving (& many are,) and, as you say, it was the only source.

I’m in the same circumstance- the only one in my family. It’s said that we’re experiencing a dry martyrdom. I hope it’s true and that we are winning extraordinary graces and merits by it.
