Released on March 11, TRADCAST 003 is an in-depth response to Eric Gajewski of the TradCatKnight blog, who had attempted to refute our post, “Pope Leo XIII Quashes Popular ‘Recognize-and-Resist’ Position”, where we published, for the first time ever on the internet, English translations of two little-known Apostolic Letters of Pope Leo XIII (d. 1903), in which the Sovereign Pontiff teaches that Catholic laymen have an obligation to submit to their bishops and the Pope, and must accept their teachings with docility and give their assent. The idea of Catholics “recognizing but resisting” their legitimate prelates, so popular today with numerous “Catholic” clerics, laymen, and journalists, was condemned by the Pope. The teaching of Pope Leo XIII is a real blow to the Semi-Traditionalists of the Society of St. Pius X, The Remnant, Catholic Family News, The Angelus, etc.!
