What do these phrases and words all have in common? They are all found in the Traditional Roman Catholic (Latin) Mass and were systematically suppressed and eliminated from the “revised” Novus Ordo missal solemnly promulgated by the false “Pope” Paul VI in 1969. We are providing this information to refute the often-made but totally flawed idea, prevalent in many “conservative” Novus Ordo and semi-traditionalist circles, that the “New Mass” of Paul VI is good and holy in itself, if only celebrated “reverently.” No! The flaws exist in the very rite of the “New Mass” itself, with the highest approbation of the Novus Ordo Vatican. The loss of Faith is a direct result of the false theology of the New Mass, and not merely the result of some liturgical “abuse” perpetrated by “Fr. Jim” or “Bp. Fred” down the street (as people like Michael Voris and Timothy Haines are wont to claim). Rather, the New Mass itself is the problem, as promulgated and approved by the wicked Paul VI himself. This should come as no surprise, as the main architect of the Novus Ordo rite was Fr. Annibale Bugnini, a Freemason (!). In short: The New Mass is the liturgical abuse par excellence and was imposed upon the unsuspecting faithful by the “Pope” himself – from the highest level, in other words. This is not about some bishops or cardinals being rebellious against the “Pope”, but rather it was all imposed by Paul VI himself.
So, keep in mind that the immediate cause of the apostasy seen today is not even Vatican II, whose documents practically no one in the Novus Ordo reads, but rather that with which the common Catholic man is constantly in contact: the Mass. Lex orandi, lex credendi – how we pray is a reflection of what we believe. Thus, change the prayers, and you will automatically change what people believe. It was the changes in the Mass that caused the great abandoning of the Faith by the once-Catholic populace, because these changes were directly impacting every practicing Catholic right after the council.
The Novus Ordo church has deliberately eliminated all the “offensive” ideas from the prayers of the true Catholic Mass, and hence it is no surprise that the people have now embraced a feel-good, dogma-less, let’s-please-everybody religion that seeks in common with Protestants, Jews, Muslims, and even people of no religion at all. And don’t think that omissions are no big deal – what we don’t say can be just as important as what we do say, and many heresies over the centuries have been abetted by what was deliberately not said that ought to have been said (for example, in 1794, in his bull Auctorem Fidei Pope Pius VI condemned a perfectly orthodox explanation of Transubstantiation on the grounds that it omitted the word “transubstantiation”; see Denz. 1529).
It is no wonder that gone from people’s consciousness are genuinely Catholic concepts such as the true Faith, the reality of hell, eternal punishment, the importance of the intercession of the saints, purgatory, the immortality of the soul, the bodily resurrection, and so forth. It is an immediate and direct result of the false “New Mass” perpetrated by Giovanni Battista Montini, the modernist who claimed to be Pope from 1963 until 1978, and whom the bogus modernist Vatican II Sect is now trying to “canonize” even though he turned black (!) in the Vatican basilica as he was lying in state, and fans had to be installed to dispel the unbearable stench that was emanating from his corpse.
While most traditionalist critiques of the bogus New Mass have focused on what’s wrong with the prayers of the ordinary, that is, with the prayers of the rite that remain the same from Mass to Mass, a much-neglected but no less important issue is the hack job the Vatican did, in collaboration with Protestants, to the proper prayers, that is, those prayers that vary each day depending on what feast or season is being celebrated.
In 1991, Fr. Anthony Cekada published an examination of the revised proper of Paul VI and gave it a scathing but matter-of-fact critique. The title of this booklet is The Problems with the Prayers of the Modern Mass. It is out of print at this point (though at least this one traditional Catholic stores still has some copies), though the content of the booklet has been included in updated form in Cekada’s 2010 book Work of Human Hands: A Theological Critique of the Mass of Paul VI.
The video below presents a summary of the evidence regarding the gutted prayers found in the Novus Ordo missal of Paul VI, which is still in use today in the Latin rite throughout the Vatican II sect:
Let no one fool you. The main problem isn’t simply “abuses” in the New Mass. It is the New Mass itself that is the problem – it is a product from hell. But a wicked, harmful, impious, and heretical liturgy cannot come from the True Church:
- “Certainly the loving Mother [the Church] is spotless in the Sacraments, by which she gives birth to and nourishes her children; in the faith which she has always preserved inviolate; in her sacred laws imposed on all; in the evangelical counsels which she recommends; in those heavenly gifts and extraordinary graces through which, with inexhaustible fecundity, she generates hosts of martyrs, virgins and confessors.” (Pope Pius XII, Encyclical Mystici Corporis, n. 66)
- “The Church is infallible in her general discipline. By the term general discipline is understood the laws and practices which belong to the external ordering of the whole Church. Such things would be those which concern either external worship, such as liturgy and rubrics, or the administration of the sacraments…. If she [the Church] were able to prescribe or command or tolerate in her discipline something against faith and morals, or something which tended to the detriment of the Church or to the harm of the faithful, she would turn away from her divine mission, which would be impossible.” (Jean Herrmann, Institutiones Theologiae Dogmaticae, Vol. 1, 1908, p. 258)
- “If anyone says that the ceremonies, vestments, and outward signs which the Catholic Church uses in the celebration of masses, are incentives to impiety rather than stimulants to piety, let him be anathema.” (Council of Trent, Session 22, Canon 7)
Hence, the conclusion is inevitable: The Novus Ordo Church, aka the Vatican II Sect, is a false church that has eclipsed the True Catholic Church, the Mystical Body of Christ.
