After a ridiculously long hiatus, our popular TRADCAST podcast is back with a hard-hitting special edition that deals exclusively with Dr. Taylor R. Marshall’s best-selling book Infiltration: The Plot to Destroy the Church from Within (2019).

What has been marketed by the publisher as a “carefully documented book” and by the author himself as his “greatest literary accomplishment” is in actual fact an embarrassingly sloppy work based on slap-dash research. For the most part, documentation is non-existent, and where it does exist, it is often inaccurate or incomplete. This is significant because unless the author can provide sources for the information he presents, he is simply telling stories — and stories, as we all know, may be either true or false. The reader has no assurance that what Marshall narrates is actually true or even credible.

You can listen free of charge by clicking the YouTube video above, or you can go to our TRADCAST 027 page, where you will find all the information you need for this show, including links to all the articles, blog posts, Church documents, etc., mentioned in the podcast, and where you will also find ways to download this episode to your computer and sign up to be notified of new episodes by email.

TRADCAST 027 consists of two segments. In the first one, we begin by looking at the book’s foreword, penned by “Bp.” Athanasius Schneider. The Kazakh prelate erroneously claims: “The first infiltration in the Church happened with the apostate apostle Judas Iscariot” (p. xi). Of course, this is nonsense, for Christ our Lord Himself had appointed him to be one of His Apostles (see Mt 10:4; Jn 6:71). Judas eventually betrayed his Master, but betrayal is one thing and infiltration quite another.

But Schneider’s gaffe merely sets the tone for the rest of the book, as we demonstrate by reviewing numerous problems found in Chapters 1 through 8. Marshall’s carelessness ranges from little slip-ups such as identifying the wrong Pope reigning during a particular year, to transcribing quotes inaccurately, to failing to include and consider relevant doctrinal data, to quoting from anti-Catholic books such as the notorious Hitler’s Pope by John Cornwell because he was too lazy to find Catholic or at least neutral sources.

After a brief advertising break, sparks fly in the second segment of TRADCAST 027, where we review Chapters 9 through 20 of Infiltration. “Abp.” Annibale Bugnini, the chief architect of the Novus Ordo Missae (New Mass) of Paul VI, makes a double appearance in this segment. We also debunk Marshall’s claim that the New Theologians censured under Pope Pius XII infiltrated the Second Vatican Council (the truth is they had simply been appointed by John XXIII) and show what his research on the council’s New Ecclesiology is really worth. Among many other things discussed, we leave the biggest fireworks for the end of the podcast, which will not be revealed here (ha!).

One thing is clear: No matter what you think of Taylor Marshall, Novus Ordo Watch, or Sedevacantism, you will not regret listening to this 79-minute podcast.

Since Infiltration contains a total of 33 chapters and TRADCAST 027 only covers the first twenty, there will be a “Part 2” released in a few weeks’ time, as TRADCAST 028 [AVAILABLE NOW: CLICK HERE!]. The fun will continue there.

TRADCAST 027? Uh oh….

Overall, in this podcast episode it becomes clear that whatever merits Infiltration has (and it certainly does have some), Dr. Marshall demonstrates that he really doesn’t know what he’s doing, likes to spend time on Wikipedia, and doesn’t nearly have enough respect for his readership.

The fact that on the first day of its release (May 31, 2019), Infiltration already had over 800 (!) reviews on Amazon.com — and overwhelmingly positive, with a cumulative reader rating of five out of five stars — raises eyebrows. Although we don’t reveal in this episode how that came to be just yet, suffice it to say that it was no coincidence. For now, we shall call it “Marshall art.”

On the day of release, Marshall tweets triumphantly about his book, including a screenshot of Amazon.com showing that his book has five stars from a total of 813 reviews – on Day 1!

Perhaps Marshall, who recently admitted to orchestrating the Pachamama Tiber toss together with Alexander Tschugguel, put more effort into marketing his book than into writing it. It is definitely not a “carefully documented” work or a serious effort. Anyone who bought it under this pretense, should receive a refund from the publisher or the author.

So, what are you waiting for? Listen to TRADCAST 027 now! But be forewarned: You will be drinking from a fire hose of information for over an hour straight!

Don’t miss this podcast and share it with family and friends, especially those who have purchased, or have considered purchasing, a copy of Infiltration! Friends don’t let friends spend money on a hack job by Taylor Marshall!
