No kidding…

CDF Prefect Müller says “Door Still Open” for SSPX to rejoin Rome

The prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Destruction of the Faith, the German “Archbishop” Gerhard Ludwig Müller, has quite a sense of humor. After 11 months of chaos under Jorge Bergoglio, he is reminding the traditionalist Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) that the “door is still open” for them to officially rejoin the Vatican II Sect (which the SSPX believes to be the Catholic Church). The Rorate Caeli blog put up a translation of the relevant excerpt of an Austrian news magazine’s interview with Archheretic Muller:

[T]he prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith maintains that a reconciliation with the Society of Saint Pius X is possible. The Congregation had presented [the SSPX] with a clear dogmatic preamble; “this door is open, we do not close it,” says Müller. There are “no hidden entrances.” The Congregation follows the unification efforts ‘with perseverance and firmness,” as it was called to do by Pope Francis.

Frequent visitors to Novus Ordo Watch know how critical we are of the Society of St. Pius X, its manifestly uncatholic positions, and its stubborn refusal to admit that the Novus Ordo hierarchy is invalid and illegitimate. Nevertheless, it is clear that they would have to be wholly out of their minds to seek any union with or recognition by the Modernist Vatican under Francis, who is even more openly anti-Catholic than any of his five predecessors of unhappy memory.

Muller, of course, is no less of a Modernist than Francis. Appointed by Benedict XVI, the German “bishop” has been in charge of the Novus Ordo version of the Holy Office since 2012; that is, he is in effect the Vatican II Church’s top doctrinal watchdog, and so in theory it is his job to guard the purity of Catholic doctrine throughout the church.

But, as we have reported before, Muller is himself a heretic and therefore entirely unfit to defend the very dogmas he himself denies. This isn’t mere rhetoric or hyperbole on our part — it is cold, hard fact. See the following links, in which we demonstrate some of the heresies to which “Abp.” Muller subscribes:

So you see that we refer to him as “Archheretic” with good reason.

When Mueller was appointed to his current post by Joseph Ratzinger in 2012, the SSPX German district publicly accused him of heresy. When a journalist interviewing Muller asked him to respond to the charge, Muller but snarkily replied, “It is not necessary to comment on every foolish thing someone says.” Well, check the links above and ask yourself how “foolish” the charge of heresy is. But Muller’s reaction was typical for a Modernist — nothing but scorn and derision for Catholics who challenge the Modernist paradigm.

Now, just in case you need a visual reminder, below you see a photo of the man we’re talking about (more on this photo here):

Just remember: That door is still open.
