More of the same, expecting different results…

A ‘Cry for Peace’: Francis leads Interreligious Prayer Meeting at Roman Colosseum

It has been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting different results.

If that be true, then the world just got a little more insane on October 25, 2022, when the umpteenth interreligious prayer-for-peace assembly was held under the leadership of the head of the Vatican II religion, currently Jorge Bergoglio, also known as “Pope Francis”.

Under the motto “The Cry for Peace”, the world was subjected to yet another spectacle of representatives of different religions talking about and praying for world peace. A video recording of the entire event can be watched here:

The gathering constituted the closing ceremony for a three-day summit for peace hosted by the Sant’Egidio Community in Rome and consisted of two parts.

First, the common prayer. All the “Christian” participants gathered inside the historic Colosseum, while the others gathered outside: “While Francis attended the Christian prayer service inside the Colosseum, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, Shinto and Tenrikyo leaders held their own prayer services simultaneously”, reports Life Site. (Apparently Voodooism didn’t make the cut this time.)

Afterwards, everybody gathered on a stage that had been set up just outside the Colosseum. Then followed a number of speeches, and in the end everybody got to sign an incredibly meaningful document for peace.

Here is some of the coverage of the event:

Highlights can be seen in the following video reports:

It goes without saying that Francis had plenty of blather to unload on his distinguished guests. His address has been published in English and Italian in full:

After referring back to the event that started all the “Catholic” interreligious prayer madness — “Pope” John Paul II’s Assisi meeting on Oct. 27, 1986 — Francis announces that we are experiencing a Third World War. Summarizing the success of all the previous years of ecumenical prayer meetings, he observes that “wars have continued to cause bloodshed and to impoverish the earth”, adding that this time around, things are “particularly dramatic.”

The false pope then claims that “we have raised our prayer to God, who always hears the anguished plea of his sons and daughters. Hear us, Lord!” Which “Lord” he is addressing, he did not say. Considering that the “Lord” of Shintoism, if they even have one, is not the Most Holy Trinity, it is simply a lie to say that the representatives of all the various religions have prayed to the same God, just as it is dangerously misleading to refer to all the participants as “sons and daughters of God” without qualification — for “not they that are the children of the flesh, are the children of God; but they, that are the children of the promise, are accounted for the seed” (Rom 9:8); “For you are all the children of God by faith, in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:26).

If we wish to know what God thinks about worship of a false god, or even the worship of the true God but in a false way, we only need to look, for example, at 3 Kings 18 [1 Kings 18] and Numbers 16, respectively. “For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: but the Lord made the heavens”, says Psalm 95:5. Our Blessed Lord, too, was clear: “God is a spirit; and they that adore him, must adore him in spirit and in truth” (Jn 4:24); and He warned: “…in vain do they worship me, teaching doctrines and precepts of men” (Mk 7:7).

For Francis, however, this is all obsolete. He claims that the multiplicity of religions is an asset for humanity, a veritable “enrichment”, which is “necessary” and “willed by God”, showing that there are “different ways of coming to God” . The blasphemy is staggering, not to mention the apostasy!

Returning to Francis’ reflection at the Colosseum, he lies again when he says: “Peace is at the heart of the religions, their sacred writings and their teaching.” That may be true for some, perhaps even for most, but certainly not for all. However, even if what he said were true, we know that only Jesus Christ, the “Prince of Peace” (Is 9:6), can give true and lasting peace, because His peace is “not as the world giveth” (Jn 14:27).

As Pope Pius XI explained in his inaugural encyclical:

First, and most important of all, for mankind is the need of spiritual peace. We do not need a peace that will consist merely in acts of external or formal courtesy, but a peace which will penetrate the souls of men and which will unite, heal, and reopen their hearts to that mutual affection which is born of brotherly love. The peace of Christ is the only peace answering this description: “let the peace of Christ rejoice in your hearts.” (Colossians iii, 15) Nor is there any other peace possible than that which Christ gave to His disciples (John xiv, 27) for since He is God, He “beholdeth the heart” (I Kings xvi, 7) and in our hearts His kingdom is set up.

(Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Ubi Arcano Dei, n. 33)

By his rhetoric, Francis once again tries to make all religions equal, uniting them all in a bond of fraternity that does not and cannot exist. The religion of Jesus Christ — genuine Roman Catholicism — is unique and exclusivist. Our Blessed Lord demands not only first place but the only place: “I am the Lord, and there is no other” (Is 45:18); “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other…” (Lk 16:13).

Christ’s religion being true, all other religions are necessarily false. Our Lord demanded that people recognize Him as the true Messias, as nothing less than the Son of the Living God — not merely as a great prophet or a good chap. In that sense, our Lord is a stumbling block (see Mk 12:10) and a divider (see Mt 10:34-35).

St. Paul the Apostle likewise made clear that there can be no compatibility between belief and unbelief, between good and evil, between heaven and hell, between Christ and the devil:

Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God saith: I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore, Go out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: And I will receive you; and I will be a Father to you; and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

(2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

Bergoglio continues his speech with more lies and half-truths, invoking even “God’s plan for our salvation, which is ‘a plan for peace and not for evil’ (cf. Jer 29:11)….” Here once again Francis misappropriates a Catholic concept; in this case, that of salvation. He implicitly reduces it to that of peace in this temporal world. No doubt peace is very good and greatly to be desired, but a temporal world of peace does not constitute our salvation. Francis is once again reducing a supernatural concept to the natural level.

As we have demonstrated before, salvation and heaven are earthly ideas for Francis, who is a Naturalist. The various religions are merely the means to that natural and temporal happiness, and they are all more or less good and praiseworthy, insofar as they lead to that same goal. Hence Bergoglio said on Oct. 7, 2021: “Yes, let us dream of religions as sisters and peoples as brothers! Sister religions to help peoples be brothers and sisters living in peace, reconciled stewards of creation, our common home” (source). Indeed, he repeats this quote in his Colosseum speech of Oct. 25, 2022.

Again, by stating, “Peace is God’s gift, and we have implored that gift from him. Yet peace must be embraced and nurtured by us men and women, especially by those of us who are believers”, Francis equates all of the participating religions, reducing the Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, to the demons of the idolaters and to the false worship of those who refuse His doctrine or deny Him altogether: “Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son” (1 Jn 2:22).

Whether one be a Muslim, a Hindu, a Protestant, a Buddhist, a Jew, or a Catholic — for Bergoglio, all of them are equally “believers”, but that empties the word of all meaning. They may be religious, alright, but they do not, properly speaking, believe because they do not adhere to what God has revealed. In fact, many of them do not even believe in the true God to begin with. The non-baptized are traditionally called infidels — “unbelievers” — for good reason. That is not to say that heretics or apostates are believers — they are not — but because they have (by definition) been baptized, the Church distinguishes those kinds of unbelievers from infidels, who were never baptized.

Regardless of what each individual non-Catholic’s disposition and intention may be when praying for peace, Francis is giving grave scandal by leading such an interreligious meeting, for by doing so he is implicitly endorsing all these false religions objectively. By his words, actions, and omissions, he is communicating, in effect, that having temporal peace is a greater good than possessing the true religion that alone can give eternal life.

To be clear: Peace in the world is very important and greatly to be desired, but it is not the highest good. Contrary to Bergoglian doctrine, there is such a thing as just war, and only innocent human life is inviolable, for which reason the death sentence for convicted murderers, for example, is not immoral. The highest good for man to obtain is eternal union with God. To reach that goal, there are three absolutely indispensable elements which each and every soul must possess at the moment of death: Faith, hope, and charity (see 1 Cor 13:13). The greatest of them, it is true, is charity; but it is supernatural charity, which cannot exist in any soul without the virtues of Faith and hope.

Thus we see how incredibly important it is to “preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned” (Mk 16:15b-16). All the peace in the world will ultimately be of no purpose to a soul if it ends up in hell.

The “interfaith” meeting of Oct. 25, 2022, was clearly done “in the spirit of Assisi”. What John Paul II started in 1986 was not a one-time event. The same false pope had another such meeting in 1993 and one in 2002; and Benedict XVI followed suit with his own in 2011. Of course Francis himself has been an enthusiastic supporter of this kind of anti-Catholic event, and more than his predecessors. Here are some examples:

Here we might add that in late 2020, even two supposed “traditional Catholic” icons — ‘Abp.’ Carlo Maria Viganò and Taylor Marshall — were happy to participate in an interreligious prayer event as soon as it came to a political cause they cared to endorse:

All these interreligious shenanigans would have been unthinkable for the Catholic Church had it not been for Vatican II, the Second Vatican Council (1962-65). It was “ground zero” for Modernist revolution, truly a “great reset” of Catholicism. Six decades later, the long-term results are in: There is nothing left but a devastated vineyard.

First it was the cry of the poor, then the cry of the earth; now it is the cry for peace. Perhaps one day it will dawn on these “Catholic authorities” in Rome that it is precisely this promotion of Indifferentism and Egalitarianism, making all religions look equal, that is one of the main reasons there is so much to cry about in this world. How greatly it must enkindle God’s wrath to see the only true religion supernaturally revealed by Him reduced to the level of infernal cults, religious sects, and human invention! How could anything but more death, destruction, and suffering be the result?! “For which things [sins] the wrath of God cometh upon the children of unbelief” (Col 3:6).

There is a reason why after decades of these kinds of events, the world now finds itself not before some great reign of peace, but at the brink of nuclear war. It also speaks volumes about Francis’ supposed “consecration of Russia” to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

When on Mar. 15, 2022, the Vatican announced that Francis would make this consecration, we pointed out that, “considering that Francis persists in his interreligious apostasy, this attempt at consecration will probably only provoke God’s wrath even more!” We furthermore predicted: “Neither the peace of heaven nor the conversion of Russia to Catholicism will result from Francis’ consecration on March 25” (source).

Tragically, we were right.

“For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape” (1 Thess 5:3).
