Gaia’s Revenge? Francis blames Coronavirus on Man’s Damage to the Environment

During the Coronavirus pandemic, most people are working from home. That includes Jorge Bergoglio, the Argentinian apostate, whom — despite his best efforts to the contrary — most people in the world still believe to be the Pope of the Catholic Church.

With a lot of extra time on his hands now, Francis is happy to give interviews, for apparently there is nothing the Modernist Jesuit loves more than being asked for his opinion, especially on matters that have nothing to do with Catholicism, the religion he supposedly holds and represents.

This past Sunday, Mar. 22, Francis gave an interview via the internet to the Spanish journalist Jordi Évole on Spain’s La Sexta television channel. Life Site has put together an English report with explosive details, which we encourage everyone to read:

This interview is the latest proof that Bergoglio does not think like a Catholic, does not profess Catholicism, and has no care for the supernatural. Here is a video clip with one of the highlights:

Quoting now from the Life Site article:

Stating that “curiously the planet hasn’t been very clean for a long time,” the interviewer asked, “Is it possible that this is nature’s hour of reckoning with us?”

Pope Francis answered: “There’s a saying that you surely know: God always forgives, we forgive sometimes, [but] nature never forgives.”

“Fires, earthquakes . . . that is, nature is having a fit, so that we will take care of nature.”

…Pope Francis’ comments were made during an internet video interview with the Spanish journalist and comedian Jordi Évole on the coronavirus pandemic, in which Pope Francis made scant references to God, except to admit that he has sometimes doubted the existence of God in the past. (However, the video is edited, and parts may have been removed.)

(Matthew Cullinan Hoffman, “Pope Francis blames coronavirus on nature ‘having a fit’ over environmental damage”, Life Site, Mar. 24, 2020)

So Francis knows that “nature never forgives” — all the more reason for him to stop his idolatrous veneration of what he calls “Our Mother Earth”. As the Life Site article points out, Bergoglio is echoing the thoughts of Marxist liberation theologian Leonardo Boff. No surprise there.

Instead of spouting superficial banalities and Naturalist poppycock, however, this “Pope” should have consulted Sacred Scripture or Catholic doctrine, for the true God, the Triune Creator of Heaven and Earth, has a message for us in this time — and it is a decidedly supernatural one:

If I shut up heaven, and there fall no rain, or if I give orders, and command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people: and my people, upon whom my name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to me, and seek out my face, and do penance for their most wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. My eyes also shall be open, and my ears attentive to the prayer of him that shall pray in this place.

(2 Paralipomenon [2 Chronicles] 7:13-15)

Interestingly enough, Francis had nothing to say about that in any of the published interviews on Coronavirus (a total of at least three so far).

But the interview on La Sexta contains another tidbit. Asked about his assessment of the situation, Francis responded:

I have hope in humanity, in men and women, I have hope in the nations. I have much hope. Nations are going to be taught by this crisis to re-think their lives. We are going to come out better – fewer, of course. Many remain on the road and it is hard. But I have faith that we are going to come out better.

This is Naturalism at full blast!

As always, Francis hijacks the supernatural concepts of “hope” and “faith” and naturalizes them. He substitutes man for God (cf. 2 Thess 2:3-4). There are countless passages in Divine Revelation that condemn what Francis just said; for example:

“It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in princes” (Ps 117:9).

“O grant us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man” (Ps 117:13).

“Put not your trust in princes: in the children of men, in whom there is no salvation” (Ps 145:2-3).

“O Lord God of heaven and earth, behold their pride, and look on our low condition, and have regard to the face of thy saints, and shew that thou forsakes not them that trust on thee, and that thou humblest them that presume of themselves, and glory in their own strength” (Judith 6:15).

“Woe to you, apostate children, saith the Lord, that you would take counsel, and not of me: and would begin a web, and not by my spirit, that you might add sin upon sin: who walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth, hoping for help in the strength of Pharao, and trusting in the shadow of Egypt. And the strength of Pharao shall be to your confusion, and the confidence of the shadow of Egypt to your shame” (Is 30:1-3).

“But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord” (2 Cor 10:17).

Francis’ Naturalist words are not new, however, nor are they peculiar to him. He is merely applying the theology of the Second Vatican Council, as did his inglorious predecessor, the apostate bishop Giovanni Montini, also known as “Pope” Paul VI. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York City in 1965, Montini lauded the U.N.’s work for the “fraternal collaboration between nations” in uncannily glowing terms:

People turn to the United Nations as if it were their last hope for peace and harmony. We presume to bring here their tribute of honor and of hope along with our own….

You are establishing here a system of solidarity that will ensure that lofty civilizing goals receive unanimous and orderly support from the whole family of nations, for the good of each and all. This is the finest aspect of the United Nations Organization, its very genuine human side. This is the ideal that mankind dreams of during its pilgrimage through time; this is the greatest hope of the world.

(Antipope “Saint” Paul VI, Address to the United Nations Organization, Oct. 4, 1965; underlining added.)

What utter blasphemy! This is the wicked and apostate Vatican II religion, not Roman Catholicism! It is reflective of the Masonic “New Humanity” that the council has sought to bring about, and which Bergoglio himself has been pushing: “…you believe in new humanity”, he told unsuspecting youngsters in Poland in 2016, and by that he didn’t mean the regenerated “new man” St. Paul mentions in Eph 4:24, who is sanctified “in justice and holiness of truth” (cf. Jn 3:3-8).

St. John the Evangelist must have had “Pope” Francis in mind when he wrote:

Dearly beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits if they be of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. By this is the spirit of God known. Every spirit which confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God: And every spirit that dissolveth Jesus, is not of God: and this is Antichrist, of whom you have heard that he cometh, and he is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome him. Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore of the world they speak, and the world heareth them.

(1 John 4:1-5)

Francis’ affinity for earth worship is not exactly a secret. Last year he published the book Our Mother Earth, introduced the concept of “ecological sin”, called the world to “ecological conversion”, presided over the scandalous Amazon Synod and the Pachamama worship in the Vatican Gardens, apologized for the disposing of the Pachamama idols by Alexander Tschugguel, and accepted an earth offering by idolaters that he placed on the high altar of St. Peter’s Basilica for the synod’s closing liturgy in the Vatican. This year he published the exhortation Querida Amazonia, in which he encourages people to “enter into communion with the forest” (n. 56) and warns that we must “not be quick to describe as superstition or paganism certain religious practices that arise spontaneously from the life of peoples” (n. 78).

Whoever still believes this blithering apostate to be the Pope of the Catholic Church, is part of the problem.

Despite all, we need not conclude that the interview Francis gave was a waste of time. It is in situations just like this, when Bergoglio speaks off script, that the world gets to hear the most authentic Francis because it is then that he reveals what is really in his mind and heart — and now everyone can see it’s definitely not Catholicism.

“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Lk 6:45).
