Is Leo XIV Correcting Francis?
Against the Magisterial ‘Vibe Shift’ of Eric Sammons

Mr. Eric Sammons, magisterial vibe shift detector

Eric Sammons, the editor-in-chief of Crisis Magazine, has once again cranked out some foolish and dangerous claims about the Catholic Faith.

In the June 3, 2025 episode of his Crisis Point Podcast, entitled “Pope Leo Contradicts Pope Francis”, he suggests that when Popes correct a teaching of their predecessors, they do so not openly or directly but by means of a ‘vibe shift’. This does not pose a problem for the Catholic magisterium, he maintains, because papal teaching isn’t truly magisterial of itself; rather, only subsequent repetition by future Popes and acceptance by the Church as a whole, drawn out over a long period of time, renders a papal teaching genuinely magisterial.… READ MORE

Homo-Church: Prominent Sodomites in Uruguay Receive Vatican-Approved ‘Blessing’ after ‘Wedding’

In Uruguay, Mr. Carlos Perciavalle, 82, and Mr. Jimmy Castilhos, 47, are a famous flamboyant sodomite couple — or, as ‘Pope’ Francis would say, they are “two people who love each other”.

Perciavalle is “a well-known actor, comedian and director” and Castilhos “a theater producer, presenter and communicator”, according to a report by Jules Gomes of Church Militant.

On Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, the two men pretended to marry each other in a civil ceremony which the Uruguayan secular authority recognizes as a valid marriage.… READ MORE

Vatican Library Provides Prayer Room for Muslim Visitors

This image shows the actual Sistine Hall of the Vatican Apostolic Library.
The prayer sign and the praying Muslim are stock images added for purposes of illustration only.

.
Hot off the presses, from our popular ‘you can’t make this stuff up’ department: The Vatican Apostolic Library in Vatican City is happy, at least upon request, to provide Muslim visitors with a prayer room so as to accommodate their practice of a false religion.

In an interview with the Rev. Giacomo Cardinali (b. 1977), which was published today in the progressivist Italian daily La Repubblica, followers of the false prophet Mohammed are assured that their objectively false worship is welcome in the sacred halls of the Vatican library, albeit in a separate room.… READ MORE

Vatican Newspaper Publishes
Bishop’s Foreword to Way of the Cross of a Gay Boy

‘Bp.’ Francesco Savino and the Vatican newspaper endorse the Way of the Cross of a Gay Boy

L’Osservatore Romano, Italian for The Roman Observer, is the official newspaper of the Vatican. It used to be, of course, a journal of pristine orthodoxy long time ago, but now it has been a Modernist rag for decades. Its current editor-in-chief, appointed by ‘Pope’ Francis in 2018, is Andrea Monda of ‘mercy-for-Judas’ infamy.

On Mar. 25 of this year, the daily Italian edition of the paper printed a scandalous piece written by an Italian Novus Ordo bishop that didn’t get much attention at the time, perhaps because it was Holy Week.… READ MORE

The Limits of Papal Power: Contrasting Traditional Catholic Teaching with the Recognize-and-Resist Distortion

Detail taken from “Homage by Catholics to Pope Pius IX” by Wilhelmus Petrus van Geldorp (1871)

The semi-traditionalist pundits of our day love to pontificate (pardon the pun) on the limits of the Papacy. The Pope can’t just do whatever he pleases, they (rightly) point out and thereby (wrongly) feel vindicated in their theologically disastrous position of recognizing Jorge Bergoglio as Pope (Francis), while nevertheless resisting his magisterium, his acts of governance, his canonizations, and his liturgical prescriptions where they believe these deviate from what he ought to be teaching and legislating.… READ MORE

SSPX Priest: ‘My Conviction is that Novus Ordo Priests are Not Validly Ordained’

Fr. Michael Johnson, SSPX, on June 18, 2023

Although Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Garden Grove, California, does not officially belong to the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), priests of the Society currently take care of priestly duties there.

This past Sunday, June 18, 2023, Fr. Michael Johnson, SSPX, offered Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians and gave a sermon in which he briefly mentioned that it is his personal conviction that priestly ordinations in the 1968 Roman rite of Paul VI (“Novus Ordo” ordinations) are invalid.… READ MORE

Review of Matt’s opening speech at Catholic Identity Conference…

A Critique of the False Recognize-and-Resist Ecclesiology of Michael Matt and The Remnant (VIDEO)

The so-called Catholic Identity Conference (CIC) is an annual ‘traditional Catholic’ event in the United States, typically held in or near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In 2022, it tried to get some serious media coverage with its ‘Declaration of Filial Resistance to the Pope’, which, however, predictably went nowhere:

The last such identity conference took place Sep.… READ MORE

Says Francis lost Papacy years ago…

Rev. James Altman at Canceled Priests’ Conference:
‘Bergoglio is Not a Pope’

A 40-minute lecture given by ‘Father’ James Altman (why ‘Father’?) at the Canceled Priests’ Conference in Chicago this past June has just been released on YouTube. It is sure to make waves because, apparently for the first time ever, ‘Fr.’ Altman states in public that he believes Francis is no longer a true Pope, that he lost the Papacy years ago. We will examine this in a minute.

The so-called Coalition for Canceled Priests describes itself as “a group of committed Catholic lay people and clergy who came together in 2021 after one too many instances of persecution of holy, traditional, and orthodox priests”, with a mission “to spiritually and materially supporting faithful priests who seek to return to active ministry after being unjustly canceled by their bishops”.… READ MORE

Francis endorses Teilhard de Chardin’s ‘Mass on the World’

His true god was evolution: the French Fr. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J.

On his recent blather tour in Mongolia (Aug. 31 – Sep. 4, 2023), the Argentinian apostate Jorge Bergoglio (‘Pope Francis’) offered some impromptu remarks after presiding over the Novus Ordo worship service (incorrectly termed ‘Holy Mass’) in the capital of Ulaanbaatar on Sep. 3. He took the opportunity to speak favorably of the notorious French Jesuit Fr. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955) and his infamous ‘Mass on the World’, written in 1923:

The Mass is itself a way of giving thanks: “Eucharistía”.

Lent in the Novus Ordo religion…

Novus Ordo Priest Denies Christ’s Atonement: ‘Jesus Did Not Die to Appease an Angry God’

It’s Lent, even in the Vatican II religion. While it is a noble thing to do without such things as candy and entertainment during this sacred season of penance, a lot would be accomplished if Novus Ordo presbyters could at least give up heresy for Lent.

Not so the Rev. Terrance W. Klein, pictured above. A former associate professor of theology at Fordham University, he is the author of the book Vanity Faith: Searching for Spirituality among the Stars (2009) and now serves at a parish in Ellinwood, Kansas, part of the diocese of Dodge City.… READ MORE

Francis: Death Penalty Does Not Bring Justice But Fuels Revenge!

The Argentinian apostate Jorge Mario Bergoglio — aka ‘Pope Francis’ — may be a busy man, but somehow he always finds time to write yet another foreword to a new book he wants to show his approval of. Since the start of his fake pontificate in 2013, he has written enough prefaces to fill an entire book of its own.

One of the latest such contributions of His Loquaciousness is for the book Un Cristiano nel Braccio della Morte (“A Christian on Death Row”).… READ MORE

When the Shepherd Is Struck:

The Papacy and Sedevacantist ‘Disunity’

The following article appeared in the sedevacantist quarterly The Reign of Mary, vol. XLV, no. 155, in the summer of 2014. It addresses a phenomenon that a lot of people seeking to be genuine traditional Catholics struggle with: the apparent ‘disunity’ among sedevacantists. If Sedevacantism is the correct position to take in the face of the apostasy of the Vatican II Church, why then are there different groups of sedevacantists that are at odds with each other over various issues?… READ MORE

When it comes to the apostate German Novus Ordo bishops, some names and faces are quite familiar: Walter Kasper, Reinhard Marx, Georg Bätzing, Stephan Ackermann, Peter Kohlgraf, Franz-Josef Bode. There is, however, another ‘Catholic bishop’ in the land of Luther who is no less apostate and no less dangerous, but whose name and face have not gotten too much exposure just yet.

The Binding Force of Papal Teaching:
A Pre-Vatican II Theologian Explains

Fr. John F. Cronin (1908-94) was an expert on Catholic social teaching

For about six decades now, many Catholics of good will have been subjected to great deception and falsehood from two angles: On the one hand, the Novus Ordo religion that emerged in the Vatican with the Second Vatican Council (1962-65), and on the other hand, the good-faith but nevertheless often theologically-flawed attempts to resist that new religion while nevertheless recognizing the ‘Popes’ who have imposed it as legitimate Popes.… READ MORE

PHOTOS: ‘Bishop’ Athanasius Schneider in Audience with ‘Pope’ Francis

(image ©Vatican Media)

The daily news bulletin put out by the Holy See Press Office on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, included a rather unexpected item: ‘Pope’ Francis (Jorge Bergoglio) had received in audience that morning the Most Rev. Athanasius Schneider, O.R.C., auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Maria Santissima in Astana, Kazakhstan.

This was a surprise insofar as Schneider has for years been one of Bergoglio’s most vocal critics.

Not much is known about the meeting. There has been no comment from the Vatican, but of course there are photographs (above and further down below, and a few more here), and there are a few words from Bishop Schneider himself to the National Catholic Register:

Bishop Athanasius Schneider said Pope Francis “showed great cordiality” toward him during a private audience on Monday and that they “spoke about some important themes on the life of the Church.”
