Francis has embarked on another blather tour, and this time the victim countries are Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, three small nations in Northeastern Europe that until 1991 were occupied by the Soviet Union.

After take-off early this morning, as is his custom, he greeted all the journalists aboard the “papal” plane, which we like to call Airhead One. At that time, one of the photographers handed him a gift, a book on “Saint” John Paul II (1920-2005), as pictured above. The Associated Press reports details as follows:

Greeting journalists Saturday en route to Lithuania, Francis was given a book about the former pope by Polish photographer Grzegorz Galazka.

Some things are easier to grasp in simple memes than in pages upon pages of text. We have produced the following two memes to illustrate the folly of the pseudo-traditionalist “recognize-and-resist” position, according to which one must recognize the papal claimants after Pius XII as valid Popes but resist them in whatever they teach, legislate, etc., that appears to one contrary to the pre-Vatican II Magisterium.

On Saturday, Sep. 15, the Francis Show made a stop in Sicily, with the “Pope” visiting the dioceses of Piazza Armerina and Palermo. As always, Francis had a lot to say, cranking out such incredible nuggets of wisdom as, “Those belonging to the mafia are not living as Christians”, and, “…those who give themselves find the meaning of life and win” (source). The Vatican web site has posted the entire program of the trip to Sicily here.
