A
position fraught with contradiction
Lefebvrists demand Council be “corrected,” not interpreted
"In an interview with Italian journalist Paolo Luigi Rodari, the author
of the blog 'Palazzo Apostolico,' Bernard Fellay, the superior general
of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X, said the schismatic movement
demands not only a 'correct interpretation' of Vatican II, but that the
Council documents actually be changed.' Fellay defended his fellow
excommunicated bishop, Richard Williamson, identified by some in the
media as leader of the 'intransigent wing' of the fraternity. Fellay
said, 'Williamson and I are in agreement that it would be difficult to
re-enter the Church as it currently is.'”
NOW Comments: While it is good to see the Society of St. Pius X
is not close the suicide that has long been feared (that is, dissolving
itself into the Novus Ordo church), the main problem with the Society
continues here, and that is that the counterfeit church is being
considered the Catholic Church. Mere possession of the outer structures
of the Church does not constitute—and
never has constituted—lawful
ownership, as was very clear during the Arian occupation of the vast
majority of episcopal sees in Christendom, which is why we see that
great champion of orthodoxy, St. Athanasius, declaring famously to the
faithful: "It is a fact that they [the Arians] have the premises –
but you have the Apostolic Faith. They can occupy our churches, but they
are outside the true Faith. You remain outside the places of worship,
but the Faith dwells within you." (For the full text, see the
Letter of St. Athanasius to his flock)
Never once did he recognize those usurpers as true Catholic bishops, but
fought them tooth and nail.
Unfortunately, Society views
blatant heretics as Catholic leaders and negotiates with them. It
doesn't see these enemies as enemies at all, but merely as confused
prelates who will suddenly see the light once a few 'T's are crossed and
'I's dotted in Vatican II documents. Further exacerbating the problem is
the curious expression "re-enter the Church as it currently is." What
does that mean? That they are outside the Catholic Church? Again, you
would never, ever have see St. Athanasius making such a statement, for
he clearly saw that the counterfeit church of the Arians was just a sham
and nothing with which he would involve himself. So while the danger of
the Society dissolution may not be proximate, so long as such a confused
stance is held the danger is still present.

A GLARING AND MOST SIGNIFICANT
OMISSION

September 8th marked a very special
centennial, as any knowledgeable Catholic worthy of the name was
aware, for it was on that date in 1907 that
Pope Saint Pius X
(1903–1914) issued the Encyclical,
Pascendi Dominici Gregis, which
served as a death sentence to theological Modernism. Pascendi,
of course, is no mere historical curio, but a living document that's
importance hasn't waned a bit; if anything, it has gained added weight,
given the successes that "neo-Modernism" has enjoyed at the expense
of the Church since Vatican II.
Given this fact, it would follow that were Benedict XVI half the
friend of Catholic Tradition he's portrayed in the writings and
talks of some wishful thinkers, then surely he would have made it a
point to mention this in some public address or decree. So we did a
search on the Vatican's website for the word "Pascendi" and this is
what the search engine pulled up:
http://vatican.mondosearch.com/search_en.aspx?query=pascendi
As you can see, there is not one entry for such a celebration of
that momentous encyclical. Indeed, there is not so much as a listing
for a single news entry dryly reporting the occurrence. Let's be
clear on this. The omission by Modernist Rome was a most egregious
one. We do not believe it should be regarded as an oversight, but
rather as a deliberate avoidance of bringing up the remembrance who
condemned their theological forebears a hundred years before. There
are any number of anniversaries that it duly notes at the
appropriate time, so it entirely reasonable to assume the
significance of September 8th was known by the powers-that-be and
simply passed over without a word.
However, even if one wants to say there is a slight possibility that
the date was innocently missed, this really doesn't get "Pope"
Ratzinger off the hook, because were he a true, dedicated friend of
Tradition, he would have known about Pascendi and been eager
to remind the Catholic world of this immortal document. His failure
to do so belies the "friend of Tradition" myth that has grown
particularly over the past three months. For people who look beneath
the surface, Ratzinger's glaring omission should remind them that
this is the same suit-and-tie "progressive" who was suspected of
heresy during the reign of Pope Pius XII, who helped the attempted
destruction of Tradition at Vatican II, who as a professor and the
author of many a superficially learned book questioned or twisted
numerous teachings of the Church, who later at the Vatican would
further destruction he began nearly half a century earlier, and who,
as purported Pope, has prayed like a Muslim, allowed a rabbi to
lecture him in a synagogue (while he sat quietly in the midst of
Jews, instead of proclaiming the true Messiah to them), presided
over another scandalous World Youth Day, and appointed such
abominable "leaders" as pervert-friendly "Archbishop" George
Niederauer, to name a few of his "accomplishments."
Do not be taken in by this man. He is not your friend.

'Archbishop' Niederauer's questionable apology
NOW Comments:
The notion that Niederauer would preach Catholic truth would be
laughable were it not for the fact that souls were at stake. This is the
same man who, upon being appointed to head the Novus Ordo "archdiocese"
of sin capital San Francisco by the "conservative" Benedict XVI
in December 2005, showed he was in tune with the city's vibrations by
praising the pro-sodomite film, Brokeback Mountain, as "very
powerful." (What was he doing watching such a movie in the first place?)
And it's the same man who in February of this year said he was
“very happy” about a compromise in which ostensibly Catholic
adoption workers would be able to refer homosexual "couples" to adopt
children. And make no mistake, his "gay"-friendly position was so
obvious that no sooner was his appointment announced, then it was
roundly (and correctly)
cheered by perverts as a victory for their side.

Vatican publishes pricey book defending Knights Templar

"Ignored for centuries, documents about the heresy trial of the ancient
Christian order discovered in the Vatican's secret archives are being
published in a limited edition — with an $8,377 price tag.
"They include a 14th-century parchment showing that Pope Clement V
initially absolved the Templar leaders of heresy, though he did find
them guilty of immorality and planned to reform the order, according to
the Vatican archives Web site. But pressured by King Philip IV of
France, Clement later reversed his decision and suppressed the order in
1312.
"Only 799 copies of the 300-page volume,
Processus Contra Templarios,— Latin for
'Trial against the Templars' — are for sale, said Scrinium publishing
house, which prints documents from the Vatican's secret archives. Each
will cost $8,377, the publisher said Friday."
NOW Comments: What is stated here and in
related articles does not clearly vindicate the case for the Templars,
as is suggested above. While Clement V is said to have dismissed the
charges of heresy (of course, lack of evidence or reasonable doubt do
not necessarily prove innocence, but mean that guilt could not be
solidly established); he did, however, find the order's leaders guilty
of other grave crimes. The Templars' trial conducted by the pontiff was
only one such judicial inquiry into the group's activities and Barbara
Frele, in a 2004
Journal of Medieval History
article
which, like the upcoming book, concerns the Chinon document,
contradicting herself, conceded there that may have been merit in
heresy charges (some quite revolting), after all. She is, though, quick
to excuse them in a novel way that Catholics will find appalling, but
which will be no doubt an appealing alibi to many in the Novus Ordo
church:
The charges of heresy included spitting,
trampling, or urinating on the cross; while naked, being
kissed obscenely by the receptor on the lips, navel, and base of the
spine; heresy and worship of idols; institutionalized
homosexuality; and also accusations of contempt of the Holy
Mass and denial of the sacraments. Barbara Frale has suggested
that these acts were intended to simulate the kind of humiliation
and torture that a Crusader might be subjected to if captured by the
Saracens. According to this line of reasoning, they were taught how
to commit apostasy with the mind only and not with the heart.
(emphasis in original; See "Charges of Heresy" section,
History of the Knights Templar)
The desecration of a crucifix is the outward act of an
enemy of Christ pure and simple, and no amount of rationalizing will
remove that fact. An act of the will dictates whether one commits or
does not commit such an unspeakable deed and necessarily requires a
response from the heart as well as the mind. No Catholic worthy of the
name could or would do such a thing, but would die rather betray
that sacred trust between the Redeemer and the redeemed. Indeed, many,
many have died heroic deaths down through the centuries rather than
agree to such acts. Far from exonerating the Templars, this indicates a
process through which many were conditioned to compromise their Faith in
an effort to save their lives, to commit apostasy
rather than be martyrs for Christ.
It is of more than a little interest that this book is
being released this month, 700 years (almost to the day) after the King of France commenced
the beginning of end of the Templars on Friday, October 13, 1307, when he
decreed the arrest of the order's members. Considering the Templars'
oft-claimed survival in Freemasonry, which if nothing else holds them in
the highest esteem (such as naming it's youth group, DeMolay, after the
last head that order), as well as the
infiltration of the Church by the Masons, then the timing of
this announcement seems intentional and is a reminder of who has a hand
in running the show known as the Novus Ordo church.

While Novus Ordo Watch has not always agreed with Mr. Brady or his

Most Holy Rosary, which adds another dimension to the scandal:

he gave communion to men mocking nuns, as every woman religious truly worthy

NOW Comments: The photos of this event are so vile that we've
chosen not to carry a link with an accompanying warning, as we often do
for immodest pictures. We decided that there is no good to be had from
exposing people to such depravity, when the potential harm for souls is
so high. Miller Brewing, a sponsor of the event, has become the target
of a
boycott headed by the Catholic
League, whose president, William Donahue, writes: "If Miller wants to be
so bold as to throw Catholics and Protestants overboard for the sake of
siding with the most morally depraved persons in our society—persons
with whom no self-respecting heterosexual or homosexual would ever
associate—then it must suffer the consequences." We carry this quote
because it shows how totally off the mark people in the Novus Ordo often
can be, even when supporting a good cause. Why would a Catholic use a
phrase like "self-respecting heterosexual or homosexual," as though
normal and abnormal, natural and unnatural, activities can ever be
equated. "Self-respecting" is bad enough by itself; what ever happened
to God-fearing? And you can't have a God-fearing homosexual, but
only a God-fearing ex-homosexual.

Florida seminary magazine's 'gay' ads cause stir
"St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary recently sent out two

which contained only articles and no advertisements — targeted straight

one pictured below, with two bare-chested men standing next to each
other in a hot tub — targeted homosexual men." [Warning:

Police investigate bizarre call from 'bishop'
Gallup police reported a bizarre set of
circumstances following a recent emergency call to the home of Roman
Catholic Bishop
Donald Pelotte.
An incident report from the McKinley Metropolitan Dispatch Authority
reported that Pelotte told operators '...gentle little people, about 3
to 4 feet tall, and wearing Halloween masks' were in the hall. The
dispatch log reported that Pelotte said he hid in a closet while the
people were in his home."
NOW Comments: Pelotte's sad case is curious, to say the least.
Some have suggested that a head injury he sustained earlier in the year
may be causing hallucinations and possibly an early onset of Alzheimer's
for the 62-year-old "bishop." The earlier incident was strange, too;
when police found him he looked to have been beaten (one report told of
"blood on the floor and wall and he was badly bruised"),
but when questioned by police, Pelotte insisted that the had fallen down
the stairs. But the latest is still more peculiar, with Pelotte hiding
in a closet to get away from "gentle little people" in Halloween masks
who wouldn't leave his home when asked. There is a particular
classification of demon that fits such a description rather closely:
imp. The third definition of the word from the on-line Webster's
Dictionary reads:
Of course, gentle or less threatening are surely only
relative terms if what is being discussed is a demonic manifestation.
Certainly the term gentle is belied by Pelotte behavior, if he
tried to avoid them by hiding in a closet. Perhaps they weren't
overtly threatening, but their was something about the way they
looked and/or behaved that convinced him that he wanted nothing to do
with them, something that convinced him to call 9-1-1. The sad
thing for Pelotte is that if this is an early stage of possession, then
the church of which he is a leader has no adequate remedy to combat it,
for even the former chief exorcist in Rome considers the Novus Ordo rite
"unusable" against demons, calling its declarations "the
fruit of "ignorance and inexperience."
[A concession by an official in Modernist Rome does allow the true
ritual to be used, provided authorization is granted to the would-be
exorcist by the local "bishop." We use the qualifying term "would-be"
simply because there is the issue of whether these men are validly
ordained or not; if they are not valid priests, they cannot be exorcists
in the true sense of the word. In that case, we hope for Pelotte's sake
that he is merely seeing things that aren't really there and not things
that are visiting him from a malignant dimension.

"Upon [Cardinal Tarcisio] Bertone’s arrival, and seeing [The Fourth

immediately changed his route and went in another access. The
journalists seeing Bertone’s retreat questioned Socci about Bertone and

down on Socci commanding him to cease speaking with the press. Socci
responded that he was a journalist not causing any problems for anyone,
it was a public place and he had a right to be there. Vatican Security
then harshly demanded that Socci leave and began pushing him. This
happened in front of the journalists to whom Socci was speaking."
